With a nod to this Punch article, but with an insistence that you please never put 1 oz of sugar into your daiquiri, I re-worked this into a light and refreshing way to call it a night. Or start one.
0.75 oz Clairin Milot
0.75 oz Doorly's XO
0.5 oz Plantation Dark (substitute ideas welcomed, I don't buy Plantation anymore)
0.75 oz lime juice
0.5 oz Oloroso sherry (I used Lustau)
0.5 oz simple syrup
If I had a cocktail bar, this would be part of our summer showcase. It throws off a lot of fresh grass, peach, and melon (think honeydew/cantaloupe) flavors and aromas, with hints of vanilla and chopped nuts.
Gratuitous gnomes.
