Not one but two hop varieties I don't think I've had in a Black IPA yet, Zappa and Comet. This is my favorite IPA style, showcasing the interplay of hops and darker malts. Excellent version here with a pretty hefty feeling, creamy body, and a restrained but complex hop profile. Think passionfruit and tangerine but mixed with a medley of spice notes like allspice and peppercorn and cassia, plus even mint and lemongrass.

I admit to discovering the Weird Studies podcast from this beer, and have just become a fan.
